Why sign up for a retreat?

Retreat is a time to water a tree that we can lean on later when the storms come. Mindfulness retreat is a unique opportunity to tune in to ourselves more, gain new energy, and gain inspiration on how to bring more presence into your everyday life. A retreat can be a welcome deepening or revitalization of your practice for you. The most important thing is the desire to discover!

The retreat will take place in silence (with the exception of meditation instructions, practice prompts, and the opportunity to share experiences and questions), in the so-called “noble silence”. Silence and inner peace create space for something new to come, to surface, or vice versa.

  • Deeper self-discovery: Get space to return to yourself, your mind and body, away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life
  • Intensive meditation practice: Dedicate up to 7 hours of meditation per day under the guidance of experienced teachers
  • Body-mind connection: Discover new ways to be more present in your body through yoga, movement exercises and mindfulness
  • Meditation group support: Share inspiration and motivation with like-minded people in a safe space of silence
  • Reward for soul and body: Relax in the beautiful surroundings of Tuněchodský mlýn with vegetarian food and care for your inner needs

Retreat progress

The retreat is a combination of practice, which we want to dedicate about 6 hours a day, time when you can spend everything well, and support and inspiration, which can be a further enrichment of your practice. Likewise, there is no need to be afraid of silence, during the retreat we remain each with ourselves, but at the same time we are here together. Finally, there is no need to be afraid of the “demandingness” of the retreat.

  • guided mindfulness practice
  • time for independent meditation practice
  • enough time for yourself to rest or take a walk (it is recommended to keep your mobile phone turned off at all times)
  • reflection and support during the retreat (the retreat will include the possibility of individual or group meetings focused on sharing experiences and questions)
  • shorter thematic entries dedicated to important attitudes in meditation (acceptance, letting go, compassion, etc.) as well as obstacles (resistance, impatience or wanting)

Pro koho je retreat vhodný?

The retreat is designed for those who already have experience with meditation and want to deepen it. The daily program includes hours of meditation, which can be challenging. If you have any doubts, please contact us.

Meals:

  • Vegetarian meals will be served three times a day
  • Water, tea and fruit will be available throughout the day

About us

I teach 8-week mindfulness courses (MBSR and MBCL, Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living) and lead weekend or multi-day meditation retreats. For me, meditation is a path to myself, a path to others, and a path to wonder at the miracle of life. In addition to teaching, I also translate, including books on mindfulness and meditation. I work as an instructor at the Lipnice Holiday School. I studied philosophy and religious studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, where I am continuing my doctoral studies in religious studies.

For me, mindfulness basically means a sense of security and the experience that everything is fine the way it is right now.
I have completed a series of Mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and Interpersonal mindfulness program (IMP – focused on communication) courses with Czech and foreign lecturers (Michal Dvořák, Šimon Grimmich, Amir Imani, Rene Ryorin Slikker, Lot Heijke, Elise Jansen Ingrid van den Hout, Wolfgang Schroder, etc.). I have completed MBSR teacher training in Germany. I regularly return to the Bódhi Zendo meditation center in India, where I devote myself to a more intensive practice of Zen meditation. I currently teach MBSR courses and other mindfulness courses at Seznam.cz.
